Rolling Thunder playing at Oelwein City Park 8:30-11:30pm, sponsored by Oelwein Celebration Committee. Vendors open at 5pm. Steil's Studio of Dance 5:30pm and local talent at 6:30pm. 

June 2019

June 1 - Oelwein Celebration

Parade at 10am (new time) with lineup at 9:15am. Park events begin at 11am with carnival rides, bean bag tournament, FREE watermelon, Rotary Regetta, food vendors, stage entertainment, 4th grade essays, raffle drawings and more! Live music by Danny Grause 4-8pm and New Trick 9pm-1am. Fireworks at 10 pm.

 

June 1 - Oelwein Rotary Canoe Regatta

June 2 - Ecuemenical Church Service

10 am at City Park sponsored by Oelwein Celebrations Committee. Potluck breakfast and clean up to follow! 

 

June 4 - DOT @ Plaza 9-3pm

June 12 - Mobile Food Truck at Plaza 5pm

 

June 13 - Party in the Park

Plugnickel will perfom on stage at Plaza Park 5-8pm. Amy Baker Facepainting and Inflatables will be at the park for kids activities. Miss Oelwein 2019 will be crowned at 6pm.  1st event of the summer in Plaza Park! 

June 15- American Cancer Society Relay for Life of Fayette County 3:00-10:00 pm

Family friendly fundraiser with kid's activities, music, food, lumineria lined walking path, honoring cancers survivors and thei caregivers.

Oelwein Chamber

Oelwein was named "Hub City" because of the rail lines coming into town and the repair shops located there.
