The Williams Center has become an integral part of daily life in the Oelwein community since its opening in 2002. The facility, named in honor of benefactor Churchill Williams, benefits both the bodies and minds of area residents and guests, and is truly a center of education, entertainment, and wellness.
Stained glass installed...
The Williams Center took on a new look of music and the arts when 18 panels of stained glass windows were installed in the foyer. The image is a musical score beginning with the G cleft, flowing some 40-feet across the east side of the building, interspersed with one panel of dancers and one of the tragedy/comedy drama mask. A group of some 30 talented and ambitious Oelwein volunteers under the tutelage of Oelwein artist Connie Kerns completed the project.
